About the work

Spotprent op de actionisten. De harlekijn Bombario en een zot tillen een gordijn waardoor de actiehandel bij het koffiehuis Quincampoix zichtbaar wordt, waar een grote menigte actiehandelaren zich verdringen om de acties die vanaf een podium worden uitgescheten. Op de voorgrond Mercurius in een kooi gevangen. Bovenaan in de guirlande een varkenskop, koeienkop etc. Gebruikt als titelplaat in het gelijknaminge blijspel van Pieter Langendijk uit 1720. Prent (uitgeknipt en opgeplakt) in de gebonden eerste uitgave (304 B 11) van Het Groote Tafereel der Dwaasheid met spotprenten op de Windhandel of Actiehandel van 1720.
