De heilige Antonius van Padua, gekleed in franciscaner kledij, kust een kruis dat het Christuskind voor hem ophoudt. Achter het Kind kronen Maria en een engel Antonius met een krans van rozen. Onderaan op een traptrede een regel tekst in het Latijn.
