Quarrel with His Brother Annibale
Agostino's Roman period ended rather abruptly because of a quarrel with his brother, the causes of which are still not entirely clear.

Summoned to Parma by Duke Farnese
Duke Ranuccio I Farnese summoned Agostino to Parma, where he began decorating the ceiling of the Room of Love in the Palazzo del Giardino with mythological frescoes; the work remained unfinished owing to the artist's death.
