May one see it?
London, United Kingdom
It belongs to the collection, but is not on display at present.
This bronze statuette was made in France in about 1600, probably by Barthélémy Prieur. The pose of a gladiator represented is derived from a bronze statuette of Pluto by Domenico Poggini (1520-1590) in the Studiolo (or Study) of Francesco de' Medici in the Palazzo Vecchio in Florence.
