In the museum's own words — in Dutch

Christus is vastgebonden aan een zuil en een soldaat dient met een roede de slagen toe. Twee soldaten zitten op de grond en maken beiden een roede. Linksachter ziet Pontius Pilatus toe op de uitvoering van zijn bevel. Tegen de achterwand van de ruimte zijn het keurvorstelijk en hertogelijk wapen van Saksen weergegeven.
