May one see it?
London, United Kingdom
It belongs to the collection, but is not on display at present.
This draped female figure of white wax is possibly made by François Duquesnoy (b. 1594; d. 1643) in the first half of the 17th century. It is Italo-Flemish.
The figure is regarded as a study by Duquesnoy for the figure of St. Susanna in Santa Maria di Loreto, Rome.
Purchased in Florence from the Gherardini Collection.
