Dessin à l'encre sépia sur papier vergé ; Un groupe de personnage se tient dans un édifice religieux devant deux niches contenant des statues. A gauche un jeune homme vu de dos semble entretenir le bâtiment à l'aide d'un baton prolongé d'un pinceau. Au centre une femme montrant une statue du doigt, discute avec un homme d'église. Au fond se tiennent deux autres personnages.
