Estudio de varias figuras femeninas en distintas actitudes. En la parte inferior, dos mujeres sentadas en el suelo, enfrentadas. La de la derecha lleva pañuelo en la cabeza, camisa a cuadros y sostiene a un bebé en sus brazos. La otra lleva un sombrero de ala ancha, levantada por su lado izquierdo. En la parte superior, una mujer sentada en una silla de perfil a la derecha. Viste falda y chaqueta y lleva el cabello recogido. A su espalda, otra figura femenina de pie, de frente, vistiendo delantal sobre la falda y con un niño en brazos.

A one-man show at the Galeries Georges Petit in Paris — figures, landscapes, portraits, early works and recent sun-drenched beaches — eclipsed all his earlier successes. His productivity amazed critics, the show was a financial triumph, and it brought him the rank of Officer of the Legion of Honour.

Meets Archer Huntington
Large exhibitions in Germany and London met with more restraint than the Paris show, but in England Sorolla met Archer Milton Huntington, who made him a member of the Hispanic Society of America in New York and invited him to exhibit there.
