De heer van Brionne, verkleed als Jason, staand op de achterplecht van een schip dat omgeven is door tritons en musicerende dames, aangevoerd door Poseidon. Daaronder een klein eiland met een draak die een ketting met het gulden vlies eraan bewaakt. Daarnaast een rotsachtig eiland met een huis erop, waarvoor de Faam staat. Boven de voorstelling een opschrift in het Frans. Deze prent is onderdeel van een serie illustraties voor een boek over de festiviteiten (o.a. een toernooi) in het hertogelijk paleis te Nancy op 14 februari 1627.

    King Louis XIII of France offers Callot a place at his court, but the artist declines; by one account, as a patriot of Lorraine he could not forgive the king for the devastation of his homeland by French troops.
