In the museum's own words — in Dutch

De personificatie Waarheid (veritas) onthult met een grote deken een troon, waarop de personificatie Fabel zit. Een putto probeert haar tegen te houden. De troon heeft onderaan een rond portret van Ovidus. Twee putti op de voorgrond lezen uit een fabelboek. Rechts naast de troon twee klassieke dichters. Links een Pegasus. Op de achtergrond rechts de val van Icarus.
