In the museum's own words — in Dutch
Jakob ligt te slapen met zijn hoofd rustend op een steen in een landschap. Hij droomt over een ladder die naar de hemel reikt, deze staat naast de steen en drie engelen gaan naar boven of naar beneden. Bovenaan de ladder in de wolken staat God.
