This cartoon probably refers to Emile Littler's production of Humpty Dumpty, staged at the London Casino in 1948. Pat Kirkwood (1921-2007) appeared as the Principal Boy, Prince Rupert, and comedian Vic Oliver (1898-1964) was King Yolk.
Emile Littler (1903-1985) was one of the country’s most influential 20th century theatrical impresarios. He also wrote and directed over fifteen productions on his own account, including Humpty Dumpty.
