The Chauburji Gateway once led to a garden established in 1646, in the reign of the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan (1628-1658). The garden no longer exists but the gateway is remarkable for the intricate mosaic tiling that decorates the surface. This unfinished drawing is by Amir Baksh, a student of the Lahore School of art.
