Lucretia pleegt zelfmoord door zich met een dolk te doorsteken, omdat ze de schaamte na de verkrachting door Sextus niet meer aan kan. Haar naakte lichaam ligt op de grond naast haar bed. Haar man Collatinus rent op haar af. In de ondermarge twee kolommen met elk twee regels Latijnse tekst.
