In zijn slaapvertrek heeft de staatsman Cato zichzelf doorstoken. Liggend op een bed trekt hij ingewanden uit zijn lichaam. Een groep omstanders kijkt verafschuwd toe. Zeven regels Latijnse tekst in cartouche rechtsonder. 46 v.Chr.
