In the museum's own words — in Dutch

In een bos hangt Absalom met zijn haren aan een boomtak, zijn helm ligt op de grond voor hem. Joab, de legeraanvoerder van koning David, staat op het punt om Absalom met zijn lans te doorsteken. Deze prent is een illustratie bij het negende hoofdstuk van het zevende boek van 'Alle de werken van Flavius Josephus'.
