Stampa „Cupido” este reprezentativă pentru stilul elaborat, utilizat de Robert Strange pentru reproducerea capodoperelor picturii italiene din Seicento. Gravorul a transpus cu virtuozitate tehnică efectele luminii, în special în redarea carnației.
