A bound album containing 125 photographs of crime scenes, created between 1886 and 1902, inserted on 97 double-sided pages. The album was probably assembled privately by someone who worked at the Paris Préfecture de Police under Alphonse Bertillon (French, 1853-1914). The photographs are corner mounted into slits in the album pages.
