About the work

In the museum's own words — in Dutch

Christus wijst drie mannen op een zaaier in het veld. De man strooit zaad op zijn akker. Het zaad dat op de weg valt wordt opgegeten door vogels. Een ander deel vindt geen goede grond op de stenen. Een derde deel valt tussen de doornenstruiken en wordt verstikt. Alleen het zaad op de akker komt op goede grond terecht. Op de achtergrond huizen en een kerk. Boven de voorstelling een titel. Eronder zes versregels en een verwijzing naar Mattheüs 13: 3-5.
