Peisaj cu un drum de țară, pe care se întorc de la cosit, un șir de care cu boi, încărcate cu fân. Atelajul din prim-plan înaintează cu greu dinspre stânga, pe drumul arid, copleșit de soare. Este mânat din vârful carului de un țăran privit frontal, aplecat alene, spre stânga. Poartă pălărie de mocan
