About the sculpture

This bronze statuette of a boy carrying a vase is made in the workshops of Savero da Ravenna, in Italy, possibly Ravenna, in ca. 1500-1530.

This figure is taken from an antique prototype.

Severo da Ravenna (Severo di Domenico Calzetta da Ravenna), (b. ca. 1496; d. ca. 1543), was an Italian sculptor. He appears to have devided his time between Ravenna, Padua and Ferrara.
