In the museum's own words — in Dutch

Bordeelscène in de haven van Wapping in Londen, 1807. Vier prostituees in de etalage lonken naar voorbijgangers. De vrouwen zijn een zwarte vrouw, een vrouw met blond haar en een vrouw met bruin haar. Voor het raam staan een Chinees, een Nederlander en een Fransman te kijken. Links gaat een zwarte man met een vrouw naar binnen. In het onderschrift drie achtregelige verzen in het Engels.
