    Portraits of Renoir, Breton, Barthes and Chanel

    In 1960–1964 he photographed Jean Renoir (1960), André Breton (1961), Roland Barthes (1963) and Coco Chanel (1964).

  2. 1961

    Monroe, Gable and Clift at the Mapes Hotel

    As the artist Amadour has noted, during the press preview of “The Misfits” (1961) at the Mapes Hotel in Reno, Nevada, he photographed Marilyn Monroe, Clark Gable and Montgomery Clift — the final film of Monroe and Gable.

  3. 1962

    Sardinia for Vogue

    In 1962 he spent about twenty days in Sardinia for Vogue, visiting Nuoro, Oliena, Orgosolo, Orani (hosted by his friend Costantino Nivola), Cagliari and other places on the island.

  4. 1965–1967

    A second retrospective: Tokyo, Paris, New York, London

    In 1965–1967 his second retrospective was shown in Tokyo, at the Musée des Arts décoratifs in Paris, and in New York, London, Amsterdam, Rome, Zurich, Cologne and other cities.
