De barmhartige Samaritaan verzorgt de wond van de door rovers aangevallen reiziger. Op de achtergrond is de priester te zien die de man langs de kant van de weg liet liggen zonder hem te helpen. Illustratie voor het Nieuwe Testament, Luc. 10, 30. Onder de voorstelling een titel in het Grieks, Engels, Duits, Latijn, Frans en Nederlands.
