In the museum's own words — in Dutch

De engel Gabriël kondigt aan Maria aan dat ze zwanger zal worden. Maria zit bij een tafel, waarop een opengeslagen boek ligt. Links een bed. De Heilige Geest daalt als een duif neer. Onder de voorstelling de titel in het Latijn, vier vierregelige verzen in het Nederlands en een verwijzing naar de Bijbeltekst in Luc. 1:26.
