Под пышной кроной дерева группа амуров. В центре профильное изображение младенца, выливающего из чаши вино полулежащему амуру. Правее фигура сидящего Силена и голова Сатира. Слева на фоне облачного неба фигура Амура, под ним летящая птица. На переднем плане в центре черно-белая раковина. Подписи и надписей нет.

Andreini brings his paintings to Florence
The Florentine collector Pietro Andrea Andreini, after visiting Naples, brings back to Florence a small group of Giordano's works, among them “Apollo and Marsyas” (now in the Museo Bardini), which spreads the artist's fame in the city.

Arrives in Florence, having visited Rome on the way, where he probably saw Gaulli's fresco in the Church of the Gesù. He lodges with the del Rosso family, who commission many works from him.

Returns to Naples from Florence
Returns to Naples, though he continues to work often for Florentine clients. His religious works of the mid-1680s, for Santa Maria in Campitelli in Rome (1685) and “Virgin of the Rosary” (1686, Capodimonte), show the influence of Cortona and Bernini in their illusionism, theatrical lighting, figure types and drapery.
