About the work

Hori Hikaru is best known for his meticulously crafted prints that blend technical precision with quiet lyricism. Hori graduated from Hiroshima University in 1975 and five years later won the Newcomer Award at the Modern Art Exhibition in Tokyo. Hori explores still-lives and carefully structured spaces rendered with subtle gradations and controlled light. His prints are marked by a refined sense of composition and a restrained palette. They are celebrated for their clarity, balance, and contemplative mood.
