May one see it?
London, United Kingdom
It belongs to the collection, but is not on display at present.
The figure, in carved, painted and gilded wood, represents a saint holding a book in his left hand and a stone in his right. The figures has a flat back which has been hollowed out and appears to have originally formed part of an altarpiece. Its style suggests it might be of Venetian origin.
