    Commission for the Ceiling of the Scuola dei Carmini

    Received the commission to paint the ceiling of the upper-floor hall of the Scuola dei Carmini in Venice (the work continued until 1747).

  3. 1750

    First President of the Venetian Academy

    Was one of the founders and, from 1750, the first president of the Venetian Academy of Fine Arts.

  4. November 1750

    Arrival in Würzburg

    At the invitation of Prince-Bishop Karl Philipp von Greiffenclau, he arrived in Würzburg, where he remained for three years.

  5. 1753

    Return to Venice; President of the Paduan Academy

    Returned from Würzburg to Venice; was elected president of the Paduan Academy and received numerous commissions at home and abroad.

  6. 31 March 1762

    Departure for Spain at the Invitation of Charles III

    Having accepted King Charles III's invitation to work at the Royal Palace of Madrid, he set out for Spain with his sons Giandomenico and Lorenzo; he never returned to Venice.
