Über die Skulptur

William Pitt the Younger is shown in full relief, facing to the front, with his head turned very slightly to the right. He wears a red, textured frock coat with gilt buttons over a white shirt and stock. The bust is surrounded by a black curtain and set against a green glass background.

William Pitt the Younger (1759-1806) was the second son of William Pitt, First Earl of Chatham. He was a British politician who became the youngest Prime Minister in 1783 at the age of twenty-four.
