Über das Werk

The pattern of light reflecting off the iron rails and the radiant balls of light dancing across the composition convey the energy and dynamism of the railroad's intersecting tracks. Toward the top of the image, two streaks of light from a moving train echo the tracks, converging around a bend in the distance. With this photograph, Willy Zielke combined his interest in railroads--he initially studied railway engineering--with his talent for making precisely crafted images.
