Über das Werk
By one estimate, 62 percent of Austria is mountainous, which means that Engelbert Lap never ran out of alpine subjects. He took up art after a long career in the military, which included time in the Dolomites mountain range with the Austro-Hungarian infantry during World War I (1914–18).
