Gift to the Dominican convent of his hometown
Rigaud gave the second version of his “Christ on the Cross” to the Dominican convent of Perpignan.

Knight of the Order of Saint Michael
In 1727 Rigaud was made a knight of the Order of Saint Michael.
1733
Rector of the Academy; directorship in rotation
From 1733 Rigaud was a rector of the Royal Academy of Painting and Sculpture. After the death of its director Louis de Boullogne (28 November 1733), he proposed that the four rectors — Nicolas de Largillière, Claude-Guy Hallé, Guillaume Coustou and himself — hold the directorship in rotation.

Retires from the Academy
On 5 February 1735 Guillaume Coustou was elected sole director of the Academy, ending the rotation of the rectors. In the same year Rigaud, who had risen through every rank of the institution, retired from it.
