Über das Werk
The crumpled body of a dead crane lays in wet sand near a shoreline. One of its wings is splayed out towards image left, while its head extends towards image right. Its other wing is crumpled close to its body. The absence of soft tissues like the eye ball, and the worn impression it's made on the sand evidence, that it may have been dead for some time.
