About the sculpture

This terracotta statuette represents a female Saint. It is made in Italy (Florence) in ca. 1550-1650 by an unknown sculptor. The Saint is shown in full length on a shallow base. wearing a cloak knotted on the shoulder over a loose gown. Her left foot is advanced and she holds a book in her left hand.
