Небольшой массой кроны лишь в средней части ствола. На третьем плане справа часть воды (реки-озера) коричневато-синий, слева берег слегка воденистый с невысокими кустами. Marries Sofya Hertz
In the Church of the Three Holy Hierarchs at the Red Gates Savrasov married the governess Sofya Karlovna Hertz (1826–1895), sister of his fellow student, the painter Konstantin Hertz, and of the art historian Karl Hertz; the sculptor Nikolai Ramazanov stood as the groom’s witness. The couple’s home welcomed artists and collectors, Pavel Tretyakov among them, and Savrasov grew especially close to Vasily Perov, who painted the barge haulers into his “Volga near Yuryevets”, while Savrasov painted the landscapes for Perov’s “The Bird Catcher” and “Hunters at Rest”.
