This drawing is an illustration for the book Clara Button and the Magical Hat Day by Amy de la Haye and illustrated by Emily Sutton. The book is set mostly in the Victoria and Albert Museum and was published in 2011. The image shows the moment Clara shows Edmund, in the Fashion Department, the damage to Granny Elsie's hat, in the hope that he can fix it.
Emily Sutton was born in Yorkshire and graduated with a B.A.(Hons.) in Illustration from Edinburgh College of Art in 2008. She specialises in illustration of children's books and draws her inspiration from 20th century illustrators and the tradition of folk art.
