His daughter Angélique-Françoise
In 1745 a daughter, Angélique-Françoise, is born of his second marriage, but she dies in 1746; other accounts say Chardin and Françoise-Marguerite Pouget had no children. The union with Pouget markedly improved the painter's finances.
