Carriera is elected to the Guild of St. Luke and made an Accademico di merito of the Roman Accademia di San Luca, a title reserved for non-Roman painters.

Moves to Paris on Crozat’s advice
In March 1720 Rosalba moves to Paris with her mother and her sister Giovanna and stays as a guest of Crozat. That same year her brother-in-law Antonio Pellegrini, husband of her sister Angela, is also in Paris, employed by John Law to paint the ceiling of the Grande Salle in his new bank building.
