O obrazu
Pablo Picasso painted La Lecture in Boisgeloup in 1932. The Musée Picasso's Paris collection holds this scene of a woman reading a book in a striped armchair. The oil canvas measures 130 by 97.5 cm. Its stretcher is dated January 2, 1932. Later that year the work was exhibited in Paris at Galerie Georges Petit and in Zurich at the Kunsthaus.
