O obrazu
Pablo Picasso painted El Bobo in Vauvenargues in 1959. Paris's Musée Picasso acquired the work in 2021 through a tax settlement. He used both enamel and oil paint on a canvas measuring 92 by 73.2 cm. It was shown in Saarbrücken in 2007–08 in an exhibition on Picasso's work of the 1950s and in Picasso et les maîtres in Paris in 2008–09.
