O soše

These heads were part of a series of exterior cornice ornaments on the early Victorian Gothic Dwight Hall, erected between 1842 and 1846 to house the Yale College library. The New Haven architect, Henry Austin, designed it. The heads were removed in the renovation of 1931 after the building ceased to be the Yale library with the opening of Sterling Memorial Library in 1930.
